at the "Rally to Prevent Child Abuse" 
Tuesday April 6, 2004, Marion County Courthouse, Salem,OR

A group of Walker Middle School Peer Helpers distributed Hands & Words Are Not For Hurting brochures and stickers to the people who attended the rally.

Governor Ted Kulongoski attended the event for the second year in a row, continuing to help promote the Hands & Words Project as a positive tool to end abuse and violence. The Governor posed with students from the Salem-Keizer School District and took the Purple Hands Pledge.
